Expert WordPress / Front End Developer Needed (san diego)

Simple Logic Studio is looking for an ambitious front-end WordPress Developer capable of pixel perfect design implementation and a passion for customizing the WordPress environment. We are seeking self-motivated developers who can collaborate with members of our design, marketing and project management team.

Skills & Qualifications:

    • Minimum 3 years experience developing with WordPress
    • Impeccable attention to detail
    • Ability to complete projects on time and meet hard deadlines is an absolute must
    • Awareness of project scope and ability to notice potential situations for scope creep
    • Deep understanding of the WordPress platform and loop
    • Experience building themes and plugins from the ground up
    • Solid experience and working knowledge of PHP, Javascript and jQuery (no just copy pasting code you found)
    • Proficient in HTML, CSS, and SASS (must be comfortable with Codekit, MAMP)
    • Proficient in responsive design and media queries
    • Experience working with the WordPress and WooCommerce REST APIs
    • Strong SQL query writing skills (preferably with MySQL)
    • Able to quickly create and customize custom post types (experience with ACF)
    • Proficient with Photoshop / Sketch and able to prep a design for development
    • Experience with troubleshooting cross-browser compatibility issues
    • Strong work ethic and ability to construct complex projects quickly
    • Excellent written and verbal communications skills

This is a contract position and jobs will be assigned on a project by project basis. Most projects are between 40-150 hours. Additional projects and advancement opportunities will be awarded based on successful, on time completion of multiple projects.
